Another succesful magazine front cover thar i have seen is made by total film, what brought my eye to this, was again that it had the same codes and conventions that i wanted to convey but also, the text effects, the wording, and of coarse the visual simplicty.
Obviously the image on the magazine front cover of max payne is has been edited to make it stand out more.
Again although it is a different magazine it has used a foont where the film can be identified for this instance they have use an icey snow effect cracking, to fit in with the idea of the film being located in a snow enviroment.
At the bottom there are also a fe words to describe what is going on in the magazine.
Another trend i have noticed is that the text is very minamalistic, it is very specific and precise just to feed the audience with facts, again to make it easy to read.
People are lazy and like to be spoonfed information the codes and convention of magazines having large images and minmal texts therefor grabs the attention of consumers a lot more easily and of coarse quickly.
The colour of the font is also contrasting to the rest of the back ground, this makes it more interesting in terms of making it more of a ... 'WOW' !!
