Brighton rock begins with a series of images of characters in the film, the music is very seaside and fits in with the location of the film.
Already I can see the variation between Brighton rock and lock stock and two smoking barrels, and that is the fact that Brighton rock has a more serious tone to it but is more subtle about the content of drugs and guns and violence.
Brighton rock is similar to Lockstock in the way it represents women. The way in which this woman is eating portrays her as being dominant and tough. The type of camera angle is close up and almost still frame. In Lockstock the camera angles are less rigid and tend to either pan or zoom out/in, I feel this is a development to Brighton rock and I feel that I must avoid rigid camera angles
